As the children of Israel suffered loss, oppression, calamities, dis-ease, the prophet Jeremiah wept for the nation because they did not have to suffer as they did.  They chose to walk in disobedience and idolatry and suffered the consequences of their sin.  Which left them broken, bruised, oppressed, dis-eased and more.  But they didn't have to stay in the situation they were in.  Jeremiah said is there a balm in Gilead?  The answer was yes.  But as long as we choose not to utilize the healing of Balm of God, we will continue to be in a hurt, broken, bruised, unhealed, dis-eased state.  You don't have to stay in the state you are in.  There is a Balm in Gilead that is healing for the mind, body, soul and spirit.  Come unto Him, allow Him to be that healing salve.
