Jabez understood that the power of prayer had the ability to touch the ear of God and change the trajectory of his life. His mother connected him to prayer, yet his prayers touched God causing his life to no longer be remember as pain, but as an honorable man, a man with the hand of God was upon him, a man with enlarged territory, a man that no longer caused pain.
We do not have to accept what labels people give us, but we can embrace the hand of God upon us that can change the outcome of our life.
Our prayers have the ability to outweigh our circumstances.
